Dr. Heidi Bridget Kohltfarber is an associate professor in the Department of Radiologic Imaging at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry as well as an adjunct professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her D.D.S. degree from Loma Linda University in 2003 and became an assistant professor in the Oral Diagnosis, Radiology and Pathology department at Loma Linda University as well as an associate in private practice. In 2012 she received her master's degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from UNC-Chapel Hill.
She received an NC Tracks Grant in November 2009 for research exploring salivary biomarkers in diabetic patients and a Future Faculty Fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2011. Her master's research compared 2D versus 3D radiography in the treatment planning of root canal treated teeth with apical radiolucencies. In 2017, Dr. Kohltfarber received her PhD in Diagnostic Imaging at King's College London focusing on Validation and Diagnostic Efficacy of 3D Surface Models in Dentistry: Temporomandibular Joints. She is currently the owner and managing oral and maxillofacial radiologist for Dental Radiology Diagnostics and a Sirona 3D trainer.
